WORLD MEET PREVIEW (LIFTERS TO WATCH OUT FOR): There are a lot of world class athletes that will be competing at the 2025 world championships, I want to mention 10 (actually 11) lifters to beware off. Every lifter that I'm mentioning has at least '4' open world titles and I believe each has registered for the 2025 world championships. Is this list perfect? No, I'm sure that it's not. Did I miss some lifters that should be in the top 10, probably. On the bright side, Paul doubled my paycheck, but later I realized that 2x $0 is still $0. Paul is pretty smart and honestly, I don't ever want to make a penny, this write up is dedicated to all the lifters who put in a LOT of effort to win their world titles.

(#01!!!) 9X WORLD CHAMPION!!! There has yet to be a lifter to reach 10 world titles in ANY event, but there is one lifter who is very close. Daniel Corridean is a 9x powerlifting world champion AND he is one meet away from being the first lifter to reach ten!!! For this reason, Daniel is our #1 lifter in the lifters to watch out for category. Side note, 'if' Dan had one less powerlifting title, I still would have placed him at #1 as Dan also has two world titles in the curl so in the end Dan is #1 with a little, not a lot, of space to spare. Great job Daniel Corridean.​

(#02) 8x (220 Class): The difference between #2 and #3 was razor thin. Both lifters are 8x world champions and both are defending world champions, so I went pound per pound by K formula and even that was close. In the end John Cooper is #2 as John is #2 pound per pound with a score of 958 while Bruce is #5, pound per pound, with a score of 944. My prediction is this; not only will John and Bruce win world title #9 this year, but John and Bruce will return next year, and they will be the first two curlers to win 10 world titles, and they will win it back-to-back as they are friends and they don't compete in the same weight class.

(#03) 8x (198 Class): Spots (2-4) were tough as all three lifters have '8' world curl titles so, technically, any of these three lifters could be #2, #3 or #4. In the end Bruce Knox checked in one spot above Gary Kessler for one reason, Bruce is a 4x defending world champion, and Gary hasn't won since 2021, so Bruce has more momentum going into 2025.

(#04) 8x (181 Class): Gary Kessler has 8 world titles which places him at #4 on the list. Technically Gary could be placed as high as #2, BUT since the two lifters ahead of him (who both also have 8 world titles) are defending champions and Gary's last world title was in 2021, I placed Gary at #4 this year, next year Gary could be higher.
(#05) 7x (132 class): Gary currently has 7 world titles in the curl which puts him in a tie with Mike Eaton, but the tie breaker, Gary also has two world titles in powerlifting. WATCH OUT as it looks like we might have a super match as it could be #5 Gary Teeter V/S #7 John Ammons. Game on!!
(#06) 7x (242 Class): Michael Eaton is a lifting legend. Mike has 7 powerlifting world titles, which puts him at #2 for world powerlifting titles. If you want to challenge Mike for the world powerlifting title, you better have a huge lead before the deadlifts, because it's almost impossible to deadlift more than Mike.
(#07) 6x (132 class): Mr. Popular, John Ammons, has six world titles in the curl and five world titles in powerlifting. John is in his twenties and on pace to win 10 world titles before he turns thirty.

(#08) 6x (123 class): Krystal Brown won her first world curl title in 2018, she would go on to win SIX world titles in a row, but last year (2024) was the first year that Krystal didn't win. The big question: does Krystal bounce back and take world title #7 in 2025.

(#09) 5x (165 class): Natasha Beasley is a 5x world champion in the curl and a 4x powerlifting world champion. Natasha is the defending world champion in powerlifting, but I believe that her last world title in the curl was in 2019 so will 2025 be the year that Natasha adds world powerlifting title #5 AND world curl title #6!!!

(#10) 4x (198 and 165 class): I wanted to make a top 10 list, but it was tough to decide who wouldn't make the cut, so in the end I have eleven as there was a tie for the 10th spot. At #10 watch out for Mackenzie Grace Taylor of North Carolina and Canadian Super Star Alex Saretsky. Alex is a 4x world champion in the curl and Alex has two world titles in powerlifting. Mackenzie Grace Taylor is a 4x world champion in powerlifting and she has three world titles in the curl. There has never been a 10x world champion, but there are several lifters getting close. Mackenzie is still a teenager; she won't be the first to reach ten, but I predict that Mackenzie will eventually become the youngest to reach ten.
