NORTH CAROLINA'S BEST LIFTERS: I've spent a lot of time trying to figure out the best way to recognize the very best lifters North Carolina has. In then end I realize there is one thing higher than a national and world title and that is being ranked #1 in the world. Why? To be ranked #1, you take the world meet, you take the national meet and you take EVERY meet from all over the world and combine the results. Lets face it, if you live in the Ukraine, you probably aren't flying to the world meet...but youre results still count in the rankings.

NOTE(1): The rankings aren't perfect as there are some lifters that don't have the proper states by their names. I've added ** to the lifters that I'm not sure of. I will leave them on for now and if I find out they aren't from North Carolina I will remove them.
NOTE(2): Will "Chill" Lynch, Paul Bossi, Kelly Wescott, and a lot of lifters competed early with the 100% RAW organization. For many years rankings weren't kept so despite these lifters finishing at the top many times, they probably would have finished at the top more often. I think that you would have seen Carl Elliott and Melvin Perry (Melvin dominated at the bench in the 132 class) on the list far more than once. This being said, we go with what we have.
